The Homeownership Center (THC) is a one-stop-shop educational and resource clearinghouse for individuals who desire to achieve the American dream of purchasing a home. THC is a community resource that provides an array of services designed to educate and assist you throughout the homeownership process.

The mission of the Homeownership Center is to increase the level of successful homeownership among residents in and around the City of Dallas by providing effective and comprehensive preparation through counseling, training and education. The THC works with a host of nonprofit and for profit partners to increase sustainable homeownership.
Services include:
- One-on-one homeownership counseling
- Financial literacy seminars and self-help training
- Homebuyer education classes
- Credit counseling
- Post purchase home maintenance and preservation workshops
- Foreclosure prevention
- Default and delinquency prevention and intervention counseling
- Coordination of community resources to more effectively serve potential homeowners
- Referrals to other useful resources and services
- Self-help library and Internet-based education and training resources
- Referrals for reverse mortgage assistance in conjunction with HUD for seniors 55 and older
- Senior education and fraud prevention counseling
The Homeownership Center Client Membership - $85.00
Membership in the Homeownership Center is required in order to participate in the 8-week to Homeownership classes. Membership is for two years.
