The Homeownership Center is a community resource which provides comprehensive counseling, training and education. It is the "First Stop Shop" for consumers who want to become financially fit, achieve homeownership or prevent foreclosure.
 
The Homeownership Center offers  a variety of workshops. The listing of the foreclosure workshops and dates are shown below. Please call Lawanda Strhan at 214-946-3500 or lstrhan@nthcinc.org to register. Space is limited to 25 participants. All scheduled classes are subject to change.

Having Trouble Paying Your Mortgage? Then plan on attending one of these NO-COST upcoming foreclosure prevention workshops. Workshops are held in both Dallas and Tarrant counties.

Who should attend? Those who…

• May be behind on their mortgage payments.
• Want to learn more about home retention programs.
• Would like to speak with HUD-certified counselors.
• Are interested in meeting with your mortgage servicer (please see list below).
• If possible, please bring the following documents: latest mortgage statement, 2 most recent months of paystubs (tax retourns and W-2 forms if self-employed), hardship letter explaining reason for default, 1 month of most recent bank statement, and a budget break-down explaining monthly expenses

NTHC offers FREE in-house monthly foreclosure prevention workshops on the third Tuesday of each month.

8 Weeks to HomeOwnership Classes - Saturdays from 9 a.m. - Noon

No classes for 2010.

The 8-weeks to homeownership class is offered with a paid membership to NTHC. Please call 214-946-3500 for more information. Membership is $85.00 for two years.

One Day Home Ownership Education Class (English & Spanish) - Held on the 3rd Saturday of every month. This eight hour training class will be held from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Lunch not provided. Classes will take place at the NTHC offices. There must be ten participants in order for this class to be taught. Reservations are required.
